In NEO WONDERLAND, one decision can cost you everything. In a future ruled by an AI Constitution where risk is outlawed, the rogue nation of Shangrila defies control. Saint, newly released from prison, reunites with his younger brother Shin, only to discover he’s drowning in debt. Desperate to protect him, Saint is pulled into the city’s violent underworld, where his only way out is to become an assassin.
WELCOME TO SHANGRILA
The world, in the year 2098, 98% of human civilization is ruled by the DWC (Digital World Constitution), an almighty algorithm created shortly after the Great War of 2040. The DWC secured humanity’s future with the perfect balance of resources and governance, long after the founding members had passed. Human intervention wasn’t necessary for most issues, just perfect machine learning to govern the masses. Only a few tiny nations are outside the DWC’s rule of law. Society at large lived in collective peace. Until, the small man-made island nation of Shangrila gained prominence on the world stage.
The country was unlike any other. It was created by a handful of corporate technocrats in 2044. The landmass was made up of scraps, garbage, and compost collected from around the world. Its original inhabitants were undesirables shipped from other countries to live out their lives on the island nation. Their beginnings is what lead Shangrila to innovate in environmental technology. Slowly but surely, the scrappy nation became known as the “Paradise Paradox”, where anything goes.
MEET OUR CHARACTERS
SAINT
Saint was imprisoned at the age of ten for murder. After Saint’s release from prison a decade later, he tries to reunite with his younger brother, Shin and mother. He discovers his brother has gotten himself into a lot of trouble, and threatens the safety of their mother, and Saint’s freedom. The more Saint tries to avoid trouble, the easier it finds him. Staying out of prison is far more difficult than he could have ever imagined. Especially, as a former convict, turned assassin.
SHIN
Shin—Saint’s younger brother is a loyal employee of one of the biggest Crime Lords in Shangrila. He is an enthusiastic tax collector, or so his mother thought, and an occasional hit man. After years without his older brother, Shin dropped out of high school to support his mother; accumulating debt, and enemies, along the way.
AEYA
Private detective, kunoichi & cat(s). Aeya gets hired to dig into dirt on prominent socialites and businessmen. She uncovers a scandalous secret that could end her own career, and the safety of Shangrila.
POCKIE the Kitty
The lovingly, insufferable cat of Aeya. His joy only shows when he is being fed chicken nuggets from the local’s favorite old diner “Happy’s”. Pockie would do anything for those nuggets and Aeya. He is very special, by kitty birth right.

Siya Oum
Artist/Writer Siya Oum has been working in the comic book and entertainment industry for over twenty years. Her clients include: Marvel Comics, DC Comics / WB, Aspen Comics MLT, Benitez Productions, Skybound Entertainment, Image Comics, Ghost Machine, Coffin Comics, Boom Studios, and IDW Publishing. Three volumes of her first creator-owned book “Lola XOXO” was published through Aspen Comics MLT in 2014-2020. The hand drawn line-art and coloring is a signature of Siya’s art style. Maintaining a grounded approach is the guiding principal to her projects.
